WEEKLY WISHES # 11

You haven't seen this series in a while, but I had to ressurect because it's time to get some shit done!

April is always crunch time.  I have a ton of work to do in my garden and I need to make a ton of new jewelry for my Spring shows.   This year is no different.

We are leaving town in mid May for several weeks and I feel like that is a hard deadline to get some things crossed off our house to-do list.

Without further ado....

This Week's Wishes

1. Finish at least 10 new necklaces and 10 new earrings.  I need way more, but this is a manageable goal. (I hope!) I am working with a few new materials (leather and brass sheets) so some more time will be spent on newer pieces, but the Zafiro classics I can create a lot faster.

2. GARDEN!  I just purchased about 10 new plants/veges that need to go in the ground (which needs to be prepared) and it would be nice to do it while we are in this rain rut.  Would save me a lot of time watering them myself.  Also need to transplant several plants before they get to big.

3. Post an update on our patio progress and my garden.  Both are looking fabulous, I can't wait to share.

And that is it folks.  Nothing lofty this week.  This is really all that needs to get done.  I have way more I WANT to do, but I won't try and fool myself that I have time for more.

SHOOT!

4. Secure a buddy pass for my sister.  She always flys here to help me with Inman Park Festival. I need my right hand girl!  Any Delta friends reading and want to volunteer before I have to beg you?!

I hope you have a great week and GET SOME DHIT DONE!

Weekly Wishes #10

It was a GORGEOUS weekend here in Atlanta.  Im talking sunny and in the mid 60's!  Saturday could not have been more perfect.  We ran to Piedmont Park on the Beltline, and the kids got worn out at the playground.  We picked up a Bucky Bucks [coffee] and the kids napped in the stroller while we strolled back to Inman Park having adult conversations.  Such a treat!  They continued napping while we ordered lunch at the Krog Street Market.  (I told you, this is going to be a weekly thing!)

We got home at 3:45p which was just enough time for me to meet a friend at a 4p yoga class.

Two workouts in a day! Unbelievable!  After yoga, our friends Rob & Fenella came over to cookout and talk the night away.  Mateo didn't even get out of bed once!  More adult conversation.

Pefect day!

Last year at this time we were in an ice storm that closed down Atlanta!  Later this week, it will be getting into freezing temps, so....Spring in February was fun while it lasted.   Ernesto said last night, let's get out of here of a few days, it's going to be freezing!  Quick beach trip anyone?  ¡Bienvenido a Miami!

Let's take a look at how I did on last weeks wishes!

1.  Get compost bin up and running.  FAIL FAIL FAILED!!! My bucket runneth over! The bin needs to be constructed soon.  This is one week of compost folks.

2.  Share my "new" plan for our downstairs bath.   Done!  What do you guys think of my ideas?

3.  Final touches organizing laundry room.  YES!  Still need a new recycle bin for in there, but it is ready for its reveal.

4.  Spend some time with my plants!  YES! I replanted and propogated and shared some succulents.  With most of my plants inside for the winter, I was happy to give some away.  I am working on a post about succulents, my favorite plants ever!

5.  Buy a yoga package and GO this week!  DOUBLE YES!!  I am so happy with Sacred Sweat Yoga  in East Atlanta.  They specialize in HOT yoga and I come out of there drenched and limber!! I have gone 3x so far and already feel the benefits.  The 6am classes on Tues and Thursday have me feeling energetic ALL DAY!  I also ran a few times with Ernesto this week, so mentally I am in good shape.

6.  Make appointment at the Genius Bar for my computer.  Yes, but I JUST made the appointment.  But hey, that ws the goal right?  I backed up everything and will be going Wednesday to get that laptop whiped clean, new software loaded and back in working order again.

This Weeks Wishes

1.  Compost Bin  I probably should not even say this again since the temps are going to be close to freezing later this week, but I am going to have to dump that bucket somewhere!  So if the compost bin isn't built, I am going to just have to start a pile.  (Did you read that mi amor? A pile of compost in the yard! Please oh please build it!)

2.  Jewelry Stuff  I need to focus in.  I missed one of my better jewelry shows last year because I sent the application too late. UGH!  There are several that I need to apply to THIS WEEK!  Also, I have some new supplies to get creative with and need to order others.  First show of the year isn't until the end of April, but I would like to space out the work, instead of my usual crunch time.

3.  Plant a Terrarium!   I counted the other day, and I have 10 of these hanging glass terrariums.  TEN!  Well, I kept seeing them at TJMaxx.  One here, one there.  They were only $4-5.  How could I NOT buy it?

I have all different shapes and sizes.  These are from CB2 and cost $7 (not planted!) I now know how I will hang them, which I will share with you soon, but for this week I want to at least plant ONE.

4. Do Yoga 3x  I have always loved how I feel after doing yoga, but have never been a regular at a studio. Now that I bought a package, I can keep going and begin to create "my practice."

5.  Plan something special for Valentines Day and bake heart cookies! Last year Ernesto and I had a bake-off for V-day (after the kids went to bed) and it was so much fun!  I think we are going to do it again, so I need to find my special dessert!  Also, I have gingerbread dough in the freezer to thaw and make heart cut outs.

I think this should do it for the week.  Hope you have a good one and GET SOME SHIT DONE too!!

Weekly Wishes #9

Happy February!!  It was a great week.    As you'll see below, I did not complete all my goals last week (what's new?) but I had a lot of fun!!  Isn't that really more important?!

My parents flew in for just 24 hours and we celebrated my mom's 70th birthday.  (see the video I just posted)  Also, have you Atlantans checked out Krog Street Market yet?  OMG this place is going to be a weekly outing for us.  An old warehouse in Inman Park has been redone to house a slew of different vendors.  And it's right along the Beltline.  So.  Cool.  Just one of the many reasons we will never move to the suburbs.  I know that I should never say never, but....

Let's take a look at last weeks wishes...

1. I will get my rug to the cleaners this week! Damnit!!  Yes!  Done!  It will be ready in a week.   In the mean time, I have put down a rug that is way too small for the area, but I suprisingly like the feel of the more neutral pallette.  I have to say though, my orange rug does make the room bright and happy.  I don't think I want to sacrifice that for calm and neutral.  (Unless that would calm my kids down!  OMG, is that what it is?)

2. Get gold flatware out of the box and use it!  Yes! Yes! Yes!  I prepared a delicious 70th birthday dinner for my mom:  Salmon (grilled on a cedar plank), purple potatoes (with rosemary and kalamata olives!) and roasted broccolli.  For desert, this delicious carrot bundt cake (from Pioneer Woman) with a lemon cream cheese frosting.  The gold flatware made all this food even more delicious!

3. List Mateo's bed on Craiglist so I can bring newly painted bed inside!  Bed/chest is listed!! Let's see how long it takes me to sell.  I have painted the new Jenny Lind bed, but (new plan) it is staying in the shed until the old bed is gone.  Duh!  Out with the old and in with the new!

4. Set up date for kitchen cabinets to be painted.   I guess this is a no!  I did email my contact, but have not heard back as of yet.  Will follow up with a phone call in the next couple days.  A for effort?

5.  Get my compost bin put together  NO!  Ugh!  Unfortunately I need Ernesto's help on this one, and he has not made it a priority [over golf!].  I do have my compost bucket under the sink filling up so it MUST be put together soon.  Im going to do a separate post on that.

On to this weeks wishes:

1.  Get compost bin up and running.  Let's see if I can't get this thing put together and show you guys some pictures!

2.  Share my "new" plan for our downstairs bath.   Coming! I have the blog post almost finished!!

3.  Final touches organizing laundry room.  I never did show you guys.  It never was really organized.  (Maybe that's why?)  Now it is.  I will show you.

4.  Spend some time with my plants!  I have recently acquired 2 [more] orchids on clearance.  They need replanted and I also need to spred some of the succuents I have been propogating.

5.  Buy a yoga package and GO this week!  I have been comparing and comparing several yoga studios near my house, and I just need to buy one already!

6.  Make appointment at the Genius Bar for my computer.  My computer is so overloaded that I can't even apple's latest operating system.  It runs so slow, that I rarely use it.  Need it fixed.

Ok I would say this is enough to keep me busy!

I hope you guys have a great week, and GET SOME SHIT DONE!!!

Weekly Wishes #8

How is it Monday again?  Let's take a look at how horrible I did in fufilling last weeks wishes.  (Disclaimer: if I continually do not meet goals I may need to rethink this series on the blog.  Could start to get depressing)  What can I say?  but the week just got away from me and then we were in Asheville.

1.  Drop rug and faux fur bed spread off at cleaners.  I could give excuses and I will.  The dry cleaner I use changed the drop off day for rugs from tuesday to Monday.  My plan was to drop it off Tuesday morning (why would I do it earlier?) and I called just to see what time they opened...it was then I learned the news that would make me fail at this wish of mine.  This wish of a clean rug.

2.  Put away the multiple baskets of clean folded laundry that is sitting in my room.  Yes! Success!! There is more on the horizon though.

3.  Organize our office/guest room  Oh I organized, but it is not finished.

4. Paint twin spindle beds.  Yes!  Sort of.  I painted one bed.  I only need one right now. I should have wrote bed instead of bedS.  Can I still have this one guys?

5.  List things to sell on Craigslist.  No. And I have no excuse.

Ok.  Let's start fresh...

This Weeks Wishes

1. I will get my rug to the cleaners this week! Damnit!!

2. Get gold flatware out of the box and use it!  I was so excited to buy this stuff [before Christmas] and it has been sitting on top of my fridge still in the boxes.  This must change.  I have decided that eating will be more exciting off a gold fork!

3. List Mateo's bed on Craiglist so I can bring newly painted bed inside!

4. Set up date for kitchen cabinets to be painted. This is exciting guys!  The house across the street from us [that has been deserted for 5 years] is finally being renovated.  I met the guy who made the custom cabinets and he also refinishes cabinets.  How convenient that his truck just pulled up in front of my house?!   He came over and gave me an estimate and I said yes.  I saw his work and it's good! I don't want to look around and compare, I just want it done!  Oh what a bright difference white cabinets will make!  He was booked all of January, so hopefully next month I will have a "new" kitchen.

5.  Get my compost bin put together Guys, this has been a year coming.  Pallets are outside just waiting to be put together.   I was tossing my compost into a corner of the yard but Ernesto was not down with that.  It is just rediculous that this gardener is not using all of her reusable waste.  Embarrassing more like it.  It's just too easy to not do.  Plus I really liked seeing my bucket under the sink fill up.  The fact that all that will turn into the best soil I could use on my veges/flowers makes composting a no brainer.

Ok that is enough for this week.

I hope you guys have a great week...and get some shit done!!

Weekly Wishes # 7

Maybe this series should be called "Bi-Weekly Wishes," or "Whenever I Want to Post Wishes."
Nevertheless, here we go!

Before Christmas, my wishes were:

  1. Finish decorating for Christmas
  2. Bake Christmas cookies
  3. Publish 3 blog posts
  4. Drop off rug to cleaners
  5. Take Mateo for a haircut
  6. Whip together a little Christmas Soiree

All happened minus taking the rug to the cleaners and you can see a few pics of each in my iphone picture dump post.  I added separate posts for Marcelo's monthly pic, my Christmas wish list and pictures of Santa too.

This Weeks Wishes

1.  Drop rug and faux fur bed spread off at cleaners.  Gonna try this one again.  When I bought my living room rug (on craiglist duh!) it had been in a kids room and it was dirty.  $80 isn't cheap for a professional cleaning, but it came back to me looking like new.  Totally worth it.  That was 3 years ago.  Yeah, it's long overdue.  Fur bedspread is white.  I have two kids.  Need i say more?

2.  Put away the multiple baskets of clean folded laundry that is sitting in my room.  Laundry is a never ending hole in our house.  Can anyone else relate?  The washing and folding we can keep up with, it's the putting away part that drags on for days weeks.

3.  Organize our office/guest room  Guys, I bought this campaign furniture set (a year ago!) which has storage o' plenty.  I now need to put things into place.  Total disarray as depicted in top pic.  This room WILL BE functional and pretty one day!  Not this week, but I am going to put several hours into it and see where we stand.

4. Paint twin spindle beds.  You haven't even seen these beds yet (unless you follow me on instagram) but a few months ago I scored a matching set of twin spindle beds. (headboards, footboards & rails!) for $150 at a thrift store.  They are the real deal!  Need to switch out Mateo's current bed.  Its a campaigner and although very cool, has sharp edges and harsh [brass] corners.  We have already got one potential forehead scar so this needs to be gone...which leads me to number 5.

5.  List things to sell on Craigslist.  I don't just BUY people!!  Its easy to sell too. Ok so why haven't you listed these things that you have wanted to sell Cindy?  Oh be quiet.  Must sell: Mamaroo baby swing, stove/microwave set, Mateo's bed, Ernesto's metal bed cover for his truck. clearing out for new incoming! more on that later:)

Hope you guys have a great week and GET SOME SHIT DONE!!!!

Weekly Wishes #6

Remember my series Weekly Wishes?  You know where I make goals for the week and hold myself accountable with a follow up post?  I wish that I had time to blog.
Ok. There. Im finished. That is my wish.  Goodbye.

In a strange turn of events, I am actually up past 10pm.  Of course I had to drink a ton of coffee, but my readers must hold me accountable!!

Since we have now finished up with the Christmas lighting, I can actually write a "weekly wishes."  There was no time for any wishes beside "Finish five million lighting estimates and hope the kids watch Curious George Christmas for the 100th time."

Its been so long since my last weekly wishes that I don't think I need to review what I was trying to accomplish back then.

Moving on!

This Weeks Wishes

  1. Finish Decorating for Christmas  Our tree is up, lights are hung outside, but I need to decorate my mantle, hang the mistletoe and find a way of displaying all of my Indian glass ornments without them  being in kids reach.
  2. Bake Christmas Cookies  I for sure want to bake gingerbread men and maybe my favorite biscotti.
  3. Publish 3 Blog Posts Guys I have past posts almost ready to go and they just need a few tweaks.
  4. Drop off rug to cleaners  My rug in the living room is a duhrie flat weave and it has held up wonderfully with kids, but boy does it need a claening.  When I got it 2 years ago [on Craigslist] it was quite dirty and the cleaners made it look brand new.  Hoping that will be the case again.
  5. Take Mateo for a haircut  I prefer his hair a little longer, but its hanging in his eyes now, so it's time.
  6. Whip together a little Christmas Soiree  Yes, whip one together. It is nothing but an idea at this point, but I must have a little party.  I have the most beautiful collecting of entertaining plates/pedastols/bowls and they are crying to get out of those cabinets.  I hope I can round up some peeps!

We will be driving up to Ohio with an overnight in Asheville (to pick up tio Brrrian) for Christmas.

What are you guys up to this week before Christmas?

WEEKLY WISHES #5

Having family is San Diego is the best.  Thousands flock here to vacation with their families and we get to fly out here twice a year and stay as long as we'd like.  Staying with your in-laws for weeks at a time might not sound like a vacation, but for me, it's heaven.  Delicious food, Spanish all day, primes for the kids to play with and a backyard that is like hotel grounds.  So. Grateful.

This week flew by and boy did we have fun.  Check out San Diego Part I for all the deets.

Let's take a look how I did with my goals last week:
  1. Workout 4 times  YES! Finally a workout goal met.  Surpassed even!  I actually worked out 5 TIMES!
    1. Run 5k and hill sprints (5 times)
    2. Boot camp-ish workout E found online working abs, chest and legs. Pretty good.
    3. Run 1 mile and run stairs (10 sets)
    4. Run 5k and hill sprints (5 times) with 25 squats and 20 push ups in btw sprints
    5. Hike Cowles Mountain
  2. Relax with family and enjoy San Diego  This was no problem to complete....see above link:)

This Weeks Wish
1. Workout 4 times (one being a long bike ride)  Ernesto keeps vetoing the bike ride for some reason so I have to be persistent (my specialty).  Biking the silver strand is one of my favorite San Diego activities, so I don't want to leave without doing it. Plus we have been doing a lot of running so I'm ready for something different.

Yeah, when you are on vacation, there isn't too much that needs to get done.   What about you?  Are you busy?

Weekly Wishes #4

We flew out to San Diego yesterday and made the 830am flight by the skin of our teeth.  Like, literally running in the concourse.  Not fun.  The actual flight wasn't tooooooo bad.  That is not to say it was good.  Marcelo was so tired, but did not fall asleep until we deplaned and his head hit the stroller. UGH!  I let him run up and down the isles of the B767 and he had several admirers.  Mateo was really good playing with some playdough I brought and nice lady took him to her seat to watch the landing from the window.  (We were sitting in the middle 3 seats)

We had a fun family get together that day and mi suegra made one of my favorite dishes...POZOLE!  The kids ran around with their primos all day and were so happy when my sis-in-law walked in with an ice cream cake for Mateo's birthday! He was loving his bi-coastal birthday!

Ill be back later this week to share pics of our trip!

Now on to the business at hand...let's see how I did with last weeks wishes:

1.  Workout 4 days  Nope! Just two times.  I'm on a roll of no completion in this category.  But I refuse to lower the goal because 2-3 times a week just isn't enough.  I ran 3 miles one day and did a killer Crossfit: Run one mile (on a track) sprinting the straight ways + 200 meters of walking lunges

2.  Prepare for Mateo's birthday party YES!  Party was a success! Ernesto took care of food and piñata, my mom baked cookies.  I baked the cake and decorated
3.  Pack for San Diego Trip  YES!  The point of this goal was to pack AHEAD OF TIME.  That did not happen, but I still did pack for San Diego.  I mean, we are here and the suitcase is full, so I guess I was successful.
4.  Paint thrifted rocking chair Done!! I don't have a picture, but both of my $10 rocking chairs got a facelift and boy do they look cute on the balcony off our bedroom [that we never sit on].  Hopefully they will get some use.

This Weeks Wishes
  1. Workout 4 times If I can't complete this on vacation, I probably never will! Ha! We already did our workout for today, so I am on the right track!
  2. Relax with family and enjoy San Diego  This is the only other thing on my list this week.  I mean I am on vacation right?

Weekly Wishes # 3

The weather is still HOT in Atlanta and I have been splitting my time between splash parks and indoor playgrounds, outdoor playgrounds, the zoo, story hour and backyard swimming.  My goal is to wear my kids out every day.  Like dead tired.

I have to say most days this takes precedence over things I want to get done, but I am thoroughly entertained nonetheless.

Ernesto was working a lot this week, but I still managed to get some things finished.  I really think this weekly wish thing is helping push me.

Let's see how I did on my list.

  1. Workout 4 days  FAIL!  Ugh!  I only ran a couple times this week.  Around the park.  3 miles. Twice.  No bueno. Get to it Cindy.
  2. Work on Zafiro website Although not apparent, I did work on my site.  It was a frustrating session.  There is definitely a learning curve with Squarespace.  Im going to work on it a bit more, but I may have to bite the bullet and pay someone for this.  I did buy the white seamless photo paper to start taking pictures of some of my inventory to list online. So there is that.
  3. Drop donations to Salvation Army. Done and done! I went through baby clothes, my clothes, toys, and more!  It felt great to get rid of all that stuff!
  4. Post twice more on the blog!   DIY Toddler Teepee and shishito peppers posted!
  5. Organize laundry room.  Yes! It looks so neat and clean (see above pic).  I bought so many baskets to organize that Im not even sure what should go in them.  What's currently in there is organized, but there are still a few more things I would like to do here.  (I need my sister -the organizing queen!)
  6. Hang the curtains I sewed for the boys' room.   Whew!  We just got this done!  I will share a pic this week.  They look awesome.
  7. Make invitation for Mateo's garbage truck birthday party.  I found a great invitation on Etsy.  I just had to take a pic of Mateo behind the steering wheel.  Even though this is late to send out, it is essential for Mateo's birthday re-cap!

    This Weeks Wishes

1.  Workout 4 days Lets try this again. I should have my partner this week, so it WILL happen damnit!

2.  Prepare for Mateo's birthday party OMG! Just 5 days away! Shopping, baking, decorating, Oh my! I'm not going to go overboard or anything (ha!) but this is the first birthday that he is really excited and realizes what is going on, so it's going to be really fun. We even made a countdown paper chain. Did you guys ever make those for xmas?

3.
Pack for San Diego Trip  I have our big suitcase out and will start filling it with clothes during the week. I hate packing at the last minute (even though that is how is usually happens). We arrive at our destination and the boys have all their clothes and I have like two shirts. Wha?? I need to think about this. Family has told us that it is another heat wave out there. In the 90's and humid! Gasp! That is HOT for perfect San Diego, and Ernesto's parents don't have air conditioning, so it can get really uncomfortable. Let's hope that passes in the next week, otherwise my kids will be running around naked out there (what else is new?!)

4.  Paint thrifted rocking chair A month ago, (or was it two?) I bought two shabby looking wood rocking chairs for the balcony off our bedroom. One sits happily painted and the other, still shabby in the shed. Soon Ernesto is going to need ALL the space in the shed for xmas lights, so this needs to get done. Also we can then start having our romantic talks out on the balcony before bed:) That was my inspiration for the chairs....a girl can dream can't she??

I think that is all I'm going to put on my plate for the week. My parents are coming mid-week, so I am going to try and get a lot finished before they arrive. We are tentatively leaving for San Diego on Sunday.

Weekly Wishes # 2

I must say, Although I didn't complete everything I wanted to last week, I think this new list thing really helped me get some shit done!!!

Let's take a look at how I did:

  1. Work out at least 4 days  How about 3?  I know, not what I said, but I had an active week all around, so Im not too upset.  I completed two grueling Crossfits  and took a run in 95 degree heat.
  2. Finalize details of new blog design  Kinda! It is not 100% final (obvs - you are still looking at my old design) but I am close and it should be live next week!
  3. Work on Zafiro website (if even for one hour!) FAILED!!!
  4. Publish at least one more blog post this week  I actually posted 3 more!
  5. Find a delish recipe (and make!) shoshito peppers Yes! We made them twice!  I posted about how how we cooked these delicious little peppers here .
  6. Finish sewing teepee   DONE!!  It turned out so cute. I can't wait to show you later this week!
  7. Work in my garden  YES!!  I got rid of some dead annual flowers, deadheaded others and pulled some weeds. Still more to be done.  Is a gardeners work ever really done anyway?
This Weeks Wishes
  1. Workout 4 days That's it.  Just do it!
  2. Work on Zafiro website Ok, it's happening this week.
  3. Drop donations to Salvation Army. Guys, I have a lot of stuff piling up [in my extra bathroom] that needs to be donated.  I still have a few tubs of the boys clothes to go through, and then I will take this huge load and feel soooo much lighter.  I LOVE getting rid of stuff!  And guess what?  I also love getting new stuff! So there is that.
  4. Post twice more on the blog!   Teepee tut and shishito peppers coming right up!
  5. Organize laundry room.  Ernesto finished painting the new shelves he built in the laundry room today.  It is now my part to organize all those baskets I bought.  A place for everything and everything in its place! Yeah...totally not something I live by, but Im trying to get on board.
  6. Hang the curtains I sewed for the boys' room.   Why is this not done yet??  I have had the curtains finished for over a month??  UGH!
  7. Make invitation for Mateo's garbage truck birthday party.  We were debating whether to have his 3rd bday party at our house or in San Diego. We've decided to do it here Saturday and fly out to SD Sunday!  A bi-coastal birthday if you will. Anyway, It is quickly approaching and people need to know about it!!

Ok I think that is enough. The clothes sorting is going to eat a lot of my free time, which will be limited anyway because Ernesto will be working all week.. Boo-hoo, I know, but such is life.

Hope you have a great week and get shit done!!

New Series: Weekly Wishes #1

I found a great blog!  Mel writes  The Nectar Collective.  Im not even sure how I found it (surfing, no doubt!) but I think it was Pinterest.  I spent some time on her site and I love her inspiring posts!  This girl know a lot about blogging!  She has a wonderful weekly link-up.  It's called "Weekly Wishes" and I am joining in the fun.

The Nectar Collective

At least I HOPE this is going to be fun.  I do love getting shit done!  It could also make me feel like a total failure. Ha!

No!  Actually, I know that won't happen.  I have been not getting shit done for months years and Im not too hard on myself:)

I would, however, love to state a few goals each week and follow through.  Can you guys keep me honest on this please? It's something I need work on so...I'm excepting the challenge!  On with it!!

This Weeks Wishes
  1. Work out at least 4 days  This is totally do-able.  It really should be five days.  Last week I only did three.  Crossfit**  nearly killed me [and had me walking weird for days] so I took some time off to recover.   Not an excuse, but that's just what happened.
  2. Finalize details of new blog design  After much shopping around (ie: indecision) I have finally made a move in changing the look of Viva Cindy.  And I am having someone else do it!  Yeah!  I have had the same blog template (and header!) for almost 7 years.  Its time for a change!  Something fun and in line with the re-branding of Zafiro Jewelry's website.  Ah! Which brings me to my next item.
  3. Work on Zafiro website (if even for one hour!) This "under construction" business has been going on too long!  Make some headway Cindy!  You have content & tools.  Get 'er done.  Or get 'er closer to done.
  4. Publish at least one more blog post this week  Enough said!
  5. Find a delish recipe (and make!) shoshito peppers I bought at our farmers market over the weekend.  I fell in love with these little peppers at a Japanese restaurant in San Diego last year and have wanted to try and recreate them.  Wish me luck!
  6. Finish sewing teepee  Last week I started a little DIY teepee for Mateo's upcoming birthday.  I just need to sew a few more inches and buy the dowels.  It's really cute.  Ill share as soon as it's done!
  7. Work in my garden  There are a BUNCH of flowers/plants that need to be trimmed and deadheaded.
I feel like I could go on and on, but I don't want to over commit.  Our neighborhood pool is closing today (for the Summer-ugh!) so we are swimming for the 3rd time in the last week.  Im so sad because the boys just love it!  Plus it's still in the mid-90's in Atlanta so if you are going to be outside - you want to be in the water!
Hope you have a great Labor Day and get some shit done this week!!
** Crossfit workout:  Run one mile, stopping every minute to do 30 walking lunges.  Ridiculous.
